Participant Criteria

Administrative Requirements

  1. Citizens of beneficiary countries.
  2. Maximum age of 60 years at the time of application.
  3. Currently working in one of the following roles:
    • Government officials responsible for halal product assurance and/or the halal industry.
    • Staff or officials of foreign halal certification bodies.
    • Policymakers or decision-makers in the field of halal product assurance and/or the halal industry.
    • Academics or researchers in halal studies, food, regulation, or trade.
    • Members of registered NGOs in beneficiary countries with roles related to halal product assurance and/or the halal industry.
  4. Physically and mentally healthy, proven by a doctor’s certificate from local government hospital.
  5. Have ability to communicate both active and passive in English, Proven by a valid certificate that is recognized by the recipient country of the grant.
  6. A recent passport-sized photograph.
  7. A copy of a valid passport

Supporting Documents and Commitment

  1. A Letter of Acceptance signed by the participant and acknowledged by the head of the institution or direct supervisor.
  2. An essay (maximum 300 words) explaining the motivation for joining the program, its relevance to current roles or responsibilities, and the expected benefits.
  3. An Endorsement Letter from a supervisor, institutional leader, or direct superior.

Prospective participants are encouraged to submit their applications at the earliest opportunity. Following the application stage, further processing will be conducted through a formal government-to-government (G2G) coordination process.
